Lightening The Load

Jan. 20

When my parents and in-laws first passed on we kept some of their belongings, including some furniture. What we could not part with was kept in storage. Time passed and while we divested ourselves of much of their possessions, there are a few pieces we loved enough to take with us, mostly art objects now enroute via a moving truck.

I can see now that letting go of possessions is essential to living lightly. Objects that hold the memory of people we have loved in life need to move on as well. I know I will be doing a good service by passing them on to live new lives in a new home with new people to love them.
