My Parent’s HandPrints On My Heart

Jan. 22th.

I awake with clarity. I remember the positive impact my parents have had on my life. My mother instilled a love and commitment to family and friends and a high regard for creativity in all forms.  My father demonstrated compassion for people and dedication to his work as a physician. What they cherished most brought meaning to their lives and benefitted the lives of those he touched. These are their gifts, their legacies, their handprints that I will take with me.

I empty the contents of both boxes, this time with the intention to replace only those objects that represent these positive aspects of my parents.
