What Makes Someone Successful?

Feb. 10^th.

I recall a TV commercial featuring the fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg. The message was very simple but it struck me to my core.  She said she never knew she would become a designer, what she did was to keep doing whatever made me feel most like herself.

I know that to be true. The times in my life when I have felt happy have been when I am creating something. The times when I have been most successful in terms of financial rewards have been due to those creations. Whether it is a painting for a client or writing this blog, sharing from my heart and conveying beauty in the world are forms of meditation to me. I must be creating something to feel happy.
