Smiles Are Free

Here’s something to Feel Good About Today…

May 4rd.

Shopping for a cast-iron frying pan today in
Target, I met an elderly woman. She seemed very serious as she walked
past me. I smiled and she smiled back.

I had no idea we would wind up in the same cookware dept.  She
asked my help with reading a price label on a pot too high for her to
reach. Watching me lift that heavy pan, brought back days remembered
for her, when all the pots and pans in her household were made of
cast-iron.

It was a brief encounter yet for those few minutes
we connected in the present. For those few moments both our lives were
enriched, and it all began with a smile.

Smiling at someone works magically. Give someone the benefit of your smile and watch how many return to you.
