Our Essence Never Changes

Here’s something to Feel Good About Today…

Through the years I’ve walked, and stumbled through many times of transition. I like to think I’ve grown a lot and overcome many obstacles. Looking back though, I wonder how much I’ve really changed. Certainly behaviors, attitudes and perspectives have altered, but the traits I was born with are still very much a part of me.

Whenever I need to feel uplifted, I revert to doing what made me happiest as a child. Riding my bike and immersing myself in nature frees me of any and all concerns. Loosing myself in the process of painting or writing I find hours pass in a kind of meditative state. I’m never more at peace than when I am creating.
When you need to find peace, try reverting to some of the activities you enjoyed as a child. I think you’ll find that something’s never change.

  1. Hi, Marlene. I really like the concept of focusing on something good to feel about every day. Some days we might have to look a bit harder than others, but it can only help to make us feel better. (I saw your post on rebelliousthoughtsofawoman.com)
