Here’s something to Feel Good About Today…
An elderly man and his middle aged son entered the supermarket. It surprised me that they were holding hands; the old man had a cane but wasn’t using it. At first I thought he was depending on his son for support, but that clearly was not the case. They simply wanted to hold hands.
What came to mind was the realization that these two men had held hands many times before and now their roles as father and son were reversed. Despite the passage of time, one thing remained consistent, the love between them.
We all grow old and watch our relationships change with time. Some daughters grow to become mothers, all mothers eventually pass away. But you can be sure of this, whatever love you share with those who mean the most to you, never disappears, it’s the one thing we can take with us wherever we go.
