Being Gentle With Myself

I’m learning to mother myself. To be the nurturing voice that comforts and cares for me when I need it. No longer a task master who demands results, I hold myself accountable while I love myself and applaud my progress along the way.

Mothering ourselves. Whew! Hard to wrap my head around when I have so many children and grandchildren that still need mothering (or at least I feel like they do–and they accept my mothering because I’m not a smother-mother. But, hey, what’s one more? If I don’t mother myself, who will mother the others and teach the others to mother?

Hi Andrea: thats right we have to take care of ourselves so we can help others… I’m curious about you, how did you find my blog?
What do you think of what I am doing? Do you have a website and blog I can visit?
Hope to hear back from you.

Hi there I have added some photos to make my blog more engaging. I’d love some feedback if you have a few minutes. Also if you like what you see and know a few friends or family members who would like “Something to Feel Good About,” please send them to the blog. Thanks so much,
    with Love and Light, Marlene
