Marlene’s Mid-Life Diary

I knew times were tough but I never thought it was that bad until I began looking for employment. After applying for several online ads, I heard back from one that seems promising.

After an hour telephone interview and a visit to the prospective place for employment for an additional interview, the recruiter asked for three references. Seems I am definitely in the running for this job.

What amazed me is that she told me she has received 800 resumes in response to her ad…. This really blew my mind! I had no idea the market was that tight? This puts everything into a new perspective for me.
