In Giving We Receive

Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today…

I received this message in an e-mail today. “Our purpose in life is not something we do; it is realizing what we are.”

This reminded me of how often the measure of my self-esteem has been based on my level of accomplishments and even more on the sums I have been paid for them. The last few years have shifted my thinking from seeing circumstances as an opportunity to get, to viewing them as a chance to give.

Some of us have been hit really hard by the recession, and if we have placed our values and security on external factors, we have had to learn this lesson the hard way.

So no matter what life has in store for you, for today remember that who you are is far more important than what you do.
