Coming Full Circle

Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today…

The power of the internet to connect people is really amazing!

Someone I knew when I was a child found me on Facebook and contacted me. We grew up on the same street, meeting when we were just three years old. In fact she was my very first girlfriend. We attended kindergarten and grammar school together, but in high school our paths diverged. I lost track of her for years until we bumped into each other at our high school reunion years late. We spoke that evening but did not really reconnect.

This time was different. When she called, we began with filling each other in on our pasts. Before we knew it three hours later, we both commented on how much we had to share in the present.

It made me wonder what had happened to our friendship and why she had come back into my life at this time. But when she said she was proud of me and I told her she had demonstrated amazing fortitude and courage in her life, we both knew we had found a friend we intended to keep.

Why people come and go in our lives is a mystery. All we can know for certain is that when you meet someone from your past or in your present, who supports, encourages and acknowledges you, they are worth holding onto.

You can be that positive light for someone and I think you will find you will attract that same energy in your friends.
