What IF?

Here’s Something to Feel Good About Today…

I’m not a born optimist, but I’ve learned to cultivate the habit of being optimistic because I know that a positive attitude makes all the difference in every situation. So much of life is not in my control but seeing the glass half full is truly up to me. So every day, I read or listen to something positive, some words that uplift me so I have a kind of reserve that fills me emotionally at the beginning of my day.
The truth is I can be a real awfulizer. That’s when I take a situation and think of the worst possible scenarios. Then I pull it back and feel grateful that whatever challenge I’m facing is really not that bad. Maybe it’s a crazy way of thinking but it works for me. Finding something to feel good about and feeling gratitude are two habits worth cultivating.
Are you an awfulizer, a natural optimist or a pessimist? Instead of thinking of the worst possible What IF, try turning it around and think of the best possible What IF. It’s your choice and remember even if it does not come naturally to you, changing your behavior and practicing a positive attitude does make you feel a whole lot happier. I’d love to hear your views on the subject… share them with me……
