What to Give? Here’s Something to Feel Good About! Should you choose the red cable-knit sweater, the plaid scarf, a coffee mug, or better yet, you may know exactly what that special person wants, making your gift choice a lot less stressful. When it comes to holiday shopping I have to say I love the holiday season, but I can’t stand the buying frenzy that it sometimes represents. The idea of getting up early the day after Thanksgiving and shopping with masses of people baffles me. I’m truly not in a position to buy gifts this year. It’s more important that I own up to that, than spend money I don’t have. So I am thinking of the small gestures I can make, a phone call, a card, an inexpensive but thoughtful gift that may not cost much, but hopefully will mean something to someone I care about. Rather than wait till Christmas, I decided to begin to review my list of friends and family and contact each of them with a personal holiday wish. Extending my gratitude for all they mean to me, letting them know the love and joy they bring to my life and sending my heartfelt prayers their way for a healthy and prosperous new year. My gift is free and it may turn out to be a great present for someone I love. No matter what your bank account looks like, check the balance of love and gratitude in your heart; sharing those gifts with others is the most priceless gift you have to offer. Find Something to Feel Good About Everyday! Remember to Pass it on! 1 comment to What to Give? |

That’s a really nice post. It’s not about buying (at least it shouldn’t be) it’s about showing others that you care.
