Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today!

Smiling Faces

Smiling Faces

Today in passing, I spied a small cluster of Pansies in a terracotta urn. I was rushing but stopped for a closer look. It seemed they were smiling, as if an artist’s brush had painted on each beautiful blossom’s face. For that moment, I smiled too; this was nature at her best, a delicate unpicked flower at the height of its magnificence.

Like most of us, I love a fragrant bouquet of fresh cut flowers. But there is something truly amazing to be discovered when we take the time to study just one flower, separating it from the group to really see and appreciate its uniqueness.

“When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it,
it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to
someone else. Most people in the city rush around so,
they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see
it whether they want to or not.
- Georgia O’Keeffe

A painter finds beauty in unexpected places and captures it. We are all artists when we stop to appreciate the wondrous beauty that surrounds us. When was the last time you really looked at a flower? I’ll share this one with you and hope it brings a smile to your face too.
