The river of life feels best when we are flowing with the current rather than against it. I’ve had many times when everything runs smoothly. I know I’m moving in the right direction because I’m feeling connected; directed to my life’s purpose. Those times are fabulous, but they never last. I’ve learned to trust that the times when my boat is still are not wasted ones; they call for deeper reflection, exploration, and testing new waters before I can move on.

Feeling stuck? Try to look at what’s really holding you back. It may appear to be something external, but there is usually an internal cause, an issue you need to recognize and work through. During the stagnant times it’s important to remember that no matter what you are going through, the tides will always turn.
