Sitting On The Fence
Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today!
There is a time for everything and a process to getting where ever we want to go. I like to feel in control, so I tend to reach a place, get comfortable there, and rest for awhile. Sometimes I rest too long and without realizing it my life becomes stagnant.
My belief is that everything in life requires energy toward movement and change. I am either growing or stagnating; I can’t do both at the same time. Growth creates amazing and wonderful changes in my life, but only after I get off that fence.
We all have those in between times when we’re not feeling much movement in any direction. Perched on the fence, and wanting to move forward it may feel as though something or someone is holding us back. Most often it’s our own fear and doubt and less related to anything external at all.
I like to use those resting places as productive time to gather my thoughts and access my future moves. As long as I am continuing to focus forward it’s OK to rest on the fence, so long as I don’t sit there too long or even worse build a nest there.
How about you? Are you sitting on the fence and contemplating, are you stuck, or are you ready and willing to take a few chances, make a few changes and fly?

Great site. A lot of useful information here. I’m sending it to some friends!
Many time when you are on the fence you are not like the bird that can fly both sides, you are like a human where you can get down to one side but fall to the other. Then after you sit for long you will find that the side you were fearing you will fall is not after all a fall it is just a step into something less known. But the fact of life is that as you said rightly, something pulls you back.
I wonder how much time and liberty we have to sit on the fence and realign our thoughts with our soul. The forced entry of life’s senseless pursuits will catch up with us to push us either way before being prepared to land.
Sad but true. I would love to get on a fence and spend a month, but my bills will cry out for my wallet
the senseless pursuits still linger.
Nice post Marlene
