I believe that every outcome begins with my attitude toward it. While I might approach someone or a situation with the best of intentions, it doesn’t necessarily mean I have a pure and open heart.

There are many sides to everything and it’s important that I be willing to understand the different perspectives from both sides. Hearing the truth can be challenging, my speaking the truth as I see it, is essential. Somewhere in between there is common ground.

When consistent efforts are not what you hope for, it might be a good time to step back, and ask yourself, who do I serve by knocking and how will it benefit others should this gate open to me? The key is to always come from a genuine and loving place. Let go of the outcome and watch what doors open.
