Jokes and Laughs Give Good Health

Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today!

“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” E.E. Cummings

The other day I called my husband and begged him “Honey, please come home right away! There is a HUGE SPIDER on the bathroom ceiling. Until it’s gone, I won’t be able to focus on doing anything.” After dead silence, he said, “are you kidding me?” I assured him I was serious and grateful he was only about 20 minutes away.

As ridiculous as it might be, I stood in that bathroom for a good half hour watching that spider’s every move, praying it would not venture down the wall or worse fall and become lost in the carpet. I knew the handyman would have no qualms about killing it. I trusted that Robert would gently gather it up and release it outdoors. He was my only solution, and thank goodness he obliged.

The next evening as I climbed the stairs to our home, I was totally surprised to see this bright purple, Halloween spider at the top of the staircase… I could not stop laughing as I opened the front door to find Robert grinning from ear to ear….

It’s so important to be able to laugh at ourselves, to lighten up and to enjoy a good joke. I find myself becoming so serious at times that I am so grateful to have someone in my life that helps me to find and appreciate humor.
