Be Happy,Let Go of Judgments

Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today!

“Judgments prevent us from seeing the good that lies beyond appearances.” Dr. Wayne Dyer

Today was a bad hair day. As if that weren’t enough, I began to look for and find all the other parts of myself that are less than perfect. Before long the bags under my eyes looked puffier, the skin around my neck seemed looser and I wondered why all those stomach crunches hadn’t worked at all. In just a few minutes, I had made myself very unhappy. I know better, and yet I had fallen into an old behavioral pattern of self criticism that clearly does not serve me.

Every day, I meet women who view themselves in the mirror and see the worst in their reflections. They complain about their excess pounds, the width of their hips, their protruding bellies, and anything else they can find to make themselves feel less than. Many of them don’t realize that this kind of critical self talk casts a negative shadow on their self image that when repeated over and over becomes very hard to shake.

None of us are perfect. If you develop the positive habit of focusing on the best in yourself; the inner qualities that make you unique and beautiful, you will feel a lot happier and find it easy to see the good in everyone you meet.
