My husband and I love movies from the 30′s, 40′s and 50′s. Life seemed so much simpler then, plus the plots don’t take a lot of concentration. We can watch a movie and enjoy a conversation at the same time. Nothing is more relaxing at the end of a trying day.
One of our favorites stars William Powell and Myrna Loy in “The Thin Man,”series. The chemistry and humor between them is unequaled. A quote from “The Thin Man Goes Home,” comes from an old hometown friend who comments, “Time and tide wait for no man,” when he helps investigate a murder. It stuck with us and has been used on many occasions when words are hard to come by.
