The Best 50 Movies of 2009 – with Reviews Part 1

Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today!

When I was a kid there was no better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than a movie mattinee. In those days you always got a double feature and several cartoons or travelogues all for the same really low entrance fee. I can remember coming home and having to sleep with my older sister with the bedroom lights on for several nights after seeing a horror movie, or crying my eyes out because someone died in the film and I got so attached to the character that I felt very real feelings of grief. Then there were the fabulous, extravagant musicals, the slapslick comedies and the realistic period films, each one taking me away from time and place to live within an imaginary world for awhile. I would reemerge from the dark theatre full of popcorn, soda and candy and yet so much more. These movies moved me to feel. Through watching them I began to understand a full range of human emotions that as a kid I would never have been exposed to.

There is no doubt that most of us are effected by the films we have seen, the stories that have touched us deeply, and the messages they have left in our hearts. Time moves on but no matter when we grow up or where we are today in our lives, there may be no better way to still spend a lazy Saturday afternoon than at a movie matinee….

Here is a list of the top 50 Films of 2009 with Reviews … Enjoy!!!!
