Be Grateful, Be Happy

Be Grateful, Be Happy

Here’s Something To Feel Good About Today!

“I wonder if gratefulness is the bridge from sorrow to joy, spanning the chasm of our anxious striving. Freed from the burden of unbridled desires, we can enjoy what we have, celebrate what we’ve attained, and appreciate the familiar. For if we can’t be happy now, we’ll likely not be happy when.” Philip Gulley Porch Talk

Are you someone who sees the glass half empty or half full? For today, no matter what’s going on in your world, try seeing it in a positive light. What can you learn from this experience? Anything looks better when we adopt an attitude of gratitude. Happiness is a choice you can make on a daily basis.

My friend sent the introductory quote to me the other day. It followed our conversation regarding my feelings of disappointment when having unmet expectations after a business meeting. She reminded me that the process is what matters, staying on my path and letting go of results is the challenge. Learning from my experience and letting go quickly were the way back to gratitude.

Being human and striving to create our desires in the world, we sometimes lose our way. It’s impossible to feel bad, sad or disappointed when you find something in that same moment to appreciate and celebrate.

If you have something to share about a negative situation that you made into a positive outcome, share it here. If you like this post, bookmark it, send the URL to someone who might benefit from reading it.

We all need to be reminded that life presents everyone with challenges; each of us can choose to find the good in every situation. A positive attitude, leads to gratitude and happiness.
