Offer What You Can or Just Smile & Avoid Holiday Madness

Here’s Something New to Feel Good About Today!

“You will find, as you look back on your life, that the moments that stand out are the moments when you have done things for others.” - Henry Drummond

“Down in their hearts, wise men know this truth: the only way to help yourself
is to help others.”
 - Elbert Hubbard

“Make it a rule…never to lie down at night without being able to say, “I have made one human being at least a little wiser, a little happier or a little better this day.” - Charles Kingsley

One way to avoid holiday madness is to focus on something greater then yourself. Reach out to others, volunteer, make a donation, and get involved in your community!

Throughout the year, my friends teach me through their example what it means to give and to receive without expectation. Some have made a commitment for a lifetime by adopting children, others volunteer at soup kitchens and homeless shelters, and another is a Big Sister to a young girl from Haiti. I am surrounded by incredible people in my community who work tirelessly to rescue animals, feed the poor and nurture the sick. I appreciate and admire all of them.

I never felt that I as one person could make a difference, so I didn’t really try. On a recent trip to Jerusalem, I stood with countless others and rested my hands on the Western Wall. I prayed that I might find a way to be of service to humanity. What I came to realize is that each of us can make a difference. All of us working together can bring the holiday message into our everyday lives.

“Peace on earth, good will toward men.”

My passion has always been storytelling whether that involves writing or imagery. Following this passion, I built a 20-year career licensing my unique hand painted illustrations and product designs to renowned companies in the gift, paper, and home décor categories. My clients include Waterford Wedgwood, Tiffany & Co., George Caspari, Shurman Fine Papers, Block China, Simon & Schuster, Random House, Cartier, Shaw Living, Stephen Lawrence, and many more. Now, my passion has taken me to blogging, compiling, and sharing stories of people who in their own small way have made a difference in someone’s life; stories that have the amazing ability to reawaken our senses to experience everything that is and can be good in the world and connect us with each other.
