My Dear Nana, Thank You.

Dear Nana,

They say that vitality in life is a function of participation. I never met someone who was a demonstration of that like you were. Whether tending to your beautiful garden, managing your office, keeping up with your dogs, or going out on one of your shopping outings, I never met a more active person. You always seemed to draw energy from your wide variety of activities. Perhaps that was one of the secrets to your longevity, and one of the many lessons you gave to all of us in the living of your life.

I knew that any time I walked into your home, I’d be greeted with love, compassion, and your warmest affection.

I’ll never forget the many times you and I shared a meal out together. I enjoyed sharing my life with you, and hearing your nuggets of wisdom on living a life of integrity, honor and respect. I could always count on you for your support, and when it was needed, to guide me in the right direction.

Thank you for being one of the most influential people in my life. You were a demonstration of always putting family first.

I love you. And I know how much you loved me.
