I used to pre-judge people based upon their appearance. I didn’trealize that I was depriving myself of knowing many interesting, fascinating and amazing friends due to my own limited, superficial beliefs.
When I met Rob, a homeless man who is wheel chair bound, that all changed. We appear to be unlikely friends, but we share stories, and genuine feelings of caring and kindness toward each other. I know Rob to be intelligent, sensitive and caring. I look forward to seeing him because he always says things that make me feel beautiful.
Today I have all kinds of friends in all shapes, sizes and income brackets. I no longer judge people by anything except the goodness of their heart and the generosity of their spirit. Bottom line, if I feel good being around them, then they can be part of my loving circle of friends.
