For A Better Relationship,Walk In Their Shoes
“Here’s Something New To Feel Good About Today!”
Is there someone in your life that you find especially difficult to deal with? Watch the movie, In Her Shoes; you might gain a different perspective on improving relationships.
Last night as I was skipping channels on HBO, I came across this movie from 2005. I was entertained, moved to tears, and most of all inspired. On the surface it tells a compelling story about the enduring bond between sisters. Looking deeper, I discovered many valuable messages as this shattered family grew to understand one another and heal themselves through the process.
Too often I jump to conclusions and pass judgments about people. I become self-righteous and angry when they act in ways that upset my values. After watching this movie, I came to understand that there are many sides to the same story. Each of us has our own perspective. In the end it’s not about being right and making the other person wrong. The way to create better relationships is to try and understand the other person’s point of view.
I would love to know what you take away from watching this movie. Share with us, so we can all learn from your point of view. If you like this post bookmark it. Please send the URL to others you think might benefit from learning to walk in someone’s shoes today.

I like that movie a lot! I will watch it again. I hope you can post more articles like this, so we can be reminded of those good old movies that could inspire or make us aware of things.
Thanks for posting this article. I will check on that movie. I am not sure if I did watch it before. I agree sometimes we judged a person by what he or she has done, not knowing the whole story and how that person feels like. Your article is an eye- opener. We need to be reminded that there is always a story behind everything.
