We owe our heartfelt thanks as well as the continued growth of our community to all our members and to the writers, authors, videographers and storytellers like you who help to make visiting an enriching experience. You don’t have to be a professional writer. We welcome stories from contributors of any age and from anywhere in the world. Just for the time being, all stories must be in English. Remember, all you need a compelling story that fits our guidelines. Your story should not only offer inspiration and hope but should motivate someone else to take action to help another in the way you have been helped.. You have the power to touch many lives in a very powerful personal way.

What is a HandPrints On My Heart® Story?
A HandPrints On My Heart story is a true, personal, short story about a special relationship that uplifts, inspires and motivates. It demonstrates the power that one person has to positively impact the life of another, leaving indelible handprints. Think of someone who has left an indelible impression on your life; someone without whom you would not be who you are today. That person has left their handprints on your heart. Whether you have overcome a life challenge, realized a dream or have become a more caring compassionate person, tell us how you were helped by another, its effect on your life and how you are paying it forward. Every story conveys a message, lesson or gift that has motivated the storyteller to take positive action and to transform for the better. The gift of each story is that as the storyteller, you pass along what you have gained to help motivate the reader to make a difference for someone else in return.

Ingredients / Recipe for a Winning Story
A great story covers the range of human emotions; it makes us laugh, cry and gives us goose bumps. The most powerful stories demonstrate an act of love, service or courage as one person extends themselves for another. HandPrints stories are personal and filled with emotion and drama. Vivid imagery shows rather than tells a specific time, place and memory of someone who has had a significant impact on the storyteller’s life. Written in the first person there is a compelling beginning, and middle with an ending that closes with a punch, creating emotion. They are stories shared from the storyteller’s heart, with a message, lesson or gift to motivate the reader. Every HandPrints story, uplifts, inspires and most of all motivates us to think about and to take positive action in our own lives and thus leave our unique handprints on one other person and in turn on the world. HandPrints stories about one person helping another to transform their life.
